Refund Policy

Xitik is a cloud-powered AI SaaS service. Every minute of real-time translation consumes paid AI compute (speech recognition + machine translation). Because of that, refunds are time-bounded — but within the window we keep them simple and friendly.

7-day refund available if the service does not meet expectations. For Pro and VIP, you may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of any charge, subject to the fair-use thresholds below. Contact [email protected] to start a request.

Fair-use thresholds. Because every minute of real-time translation consumes paid AI compute on our side, we apply two simple usage thresholds inside the 7-day window — designed to stop a small number of bad actors from draining a month's compute and refunding for free, not to penalise normal trial use:

  • Under 30 minutes used → fast-track full refund (typically authorised the same business day).
  • Between 30 and 90 minutes used → full refund on request, lightly reviewed (we may ask one short clarifying question if usage looks automated).
  • Over 90 minutes used → discretionary. A reasonable trial has already happened. We will still consider a refund if the service genuinely failed for you (e.g. captions not working, billing error) — please describe the issue when you write in.

These thresholds apply per charge, not per account. Suspected fraud, chargeback abuse or referral-bonus farming may be denied at our discretion (see Section 6).

1. Who You Are Buying From

All paid Xitik subscriptions are sold and billed by Whop Inc., which acts as the Merchant of Record (MoR). Your bank or card statement will show "WHOP* XITIK" (or a similar Whop-prefixed descriptor) as the merchant. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method used at checkout. Whop's checkout terms also apply to your purchase and can be reviewed at whop.com/terms.

2. How to Request a Refund

  1. Email [email protected] with the subject line "Refund request".
  2. Include the email address used to register your Xitik account and the approximate date of the charge.
  3. If you have your Whop order/receipt number it speeds things up, but it is not required — we can look the charge up by email.

3. Processing Time

We aim to acknowledge refund requests within 2 business days and authorise the refund within 5 business days. Once authorised, the funds typically return to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

4. Effect of a Refund

When a refund is processed, the associated subscription is cancelled effective immediately and the account is downgraded to the Free tier. The Free tier daily quota continues to apply at the Free-tier level (resets at 00:00 UTC).

5. Cancellation vs. Refund

Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but is a separate action from requesting a refund. If you would like to cancel and have the most recent charge refunded, please say so explicitly in your email and we will action both. You can cancel any time from the desktop app's Billing page or by contacting support.

6. Abuse Prevention

To keep Xitik affordable and the refund policy fair for honest customers, we may decline a refund when one of the following applies:

  • The same payment method, IP, or device fingerprint has previously requested a refund and re-subscribed multiple times ("refund cycling").
  • Usage on the charge being refunded exceeds 90 minutes and appears automated (uninterrupted long sessions, headless playback, etc.) without a service complaint.
  • The account has triggered the referral system to mint Pro days from invitees who themselves were refunded ("referral farming"). See Terms § Acceptable Use.
  • A chargeback has already been filed with the card issuer for the same charge — at that point Whop's chargeback flow takes over and we cannot process a parallel refund.

If we decline a refund under this section we will email you a clear reason. You retain all rights under applicable consumer-protection law, and you can always escalate to Whop's buyer support.
