Quick answers

The 4 things people ask before downloading.

Do I need to sign up before I can install it?

No. Just download the ~4 MB Windows installer and run it. You only create an account after the app opens, with email + password — it takes about 10 seconds.

Will it ask for my credit card?

Never on the free plan. The free tier gives you 15 minutes a day of live AI subtitles with no card on file. You'd only enter payment details if you choose to upgrade later — and checkout runs through Whop Inc. (Merchant of Record), so your card statement will show WHOP* XITIK.

Which livestreams does it actually work with?

Xitik works on the audio of Douyin, Bilibili, and Kuaishou streams played inside Xitik's built-in viewer. It's a viewer-side tool — it doesn't modify or interact with the streaming platforms themselves, so nothing for the platform to detect or block.

Windows shows a SmartScreen warning when I run it — is that normal?

Yes, for now. Every new code-signing certificate gets a blue "Windows protected your PC" prompt until Microsoft accumulates enough installs to whitelist it. Click More info → Run anyway. You can also scan the .exe on VirusTotal for a second opinion before installing.
